Emma Gilbert & Brad Whittaker from 'The Humble Apiarist' met on a whim, and quickly found they'd be friends passionate about all things bees!
Brad owns the popular 'The Humble Apiarist'. His extensive knowledge from being a professional apiarist around SA for many years has developed a reputation specialising in teaching beginners new skills to grow their own hives. He runs informative workshops and is involved in many urban food gardening projects across Adelaide by tending to many of our buzzing friends.
His passion for community and ethical beekeeping is infectious. Brad tends to special properties such as Jurlique in Echunga, SA.
This team want to pass on their knowledge on how you too can maintain your very own hive, harvest delish honey, and most importantly improve your patch with these incredible pollinators!

The Farm has a very stringent biosecurity regime, which is essential to protecting our extremely rare breeding stud & flower farm. We are opening up LIMITED spots to other beekeeping enthusiasts to learn from us directly. (If you participate in this workshop, please be prepared for a full debriefing before you come onto the property, and expect to sterilise before entering. Further details will be sent to participants.)
This workshop is for those new to beekeeping who are wanting their own hive and don't know where to start. You may already have a hive, and want to learn more holistic methods of tending to your bees. This is an interactive workshop so expect to get up close and personal with our buzzing friends, don't worry they'll be in glass display cases!
This workshop is located on our beautiful farm with morning tea provided. Connect with other like-minded individuals and join us for a fun session.
