Workshop -
Growing Good Food - 101
Date: 21 Dec 2024
Emma Gilbert & Kym Ormond meet on a whim, and quickly found they'd be friends passionate about all things gardening and permaculture.
Kym is the 'Nursery & Market Garden Production Manager' from the Kitchen Farm at Mount Barker. His extensive knowledge from running 4 years prior the 'Port Adelaide Food Garden' developed a reputation for specialising in propagating amazing edible plants at his nursery, running informative workshops and being involved in many urban food gardening projects across Adelaide.
His natural / non-certified organic seedlings are all grown with love in Adelaide and are therefore adapted to South Australia’s climate. He is trained in Permaculture and Horticulture and also has many years of experience in his former career as a professional chef and has combined his love of food and growing plants with his passion for permaculture and ethical farming.
This team want to pass on their knowledge on how you too can produce your very own style market garden, grow fantastic food, and most importantly improve your patch.
